Bridles for Heavy Horses
This bridle is one of my large made-to-measure custom bridles with a 21/2" noseband and 3/4" cheeks.
I would like to congratulate his owner Nina on their 5th place at Horse of the Year show 2008 and wish them all the best for 2009!
The picture here shows one of my heavy horse bridles on our 18hh Clydesdale model 'DJ' and doesn't he look fetching! The basic bridle shown has an elevator headpiece to make way for those large ears as such a thick headpiece may cause rubbing. The cheek pieces are 7/8" wide and the throatlash a hefty 5/8"; this noseband is only an 1" thick but nosebands can be made in any width required for these gentle giants. The browband is also a chunky 7/8" this is also available as wide as you like.
